About
The Santiam Canyon Stampede was established in 1997 as a PRCA sanctioned rodeo. Following the 1999 season the rodeo was purchased by the community and re-organized as a nonprofit corporation. The re-organization produced the Stayton/Sublimity Rodeo Association, Inc. as the new owner of the Santiam Canyon Stampede.
The Stayton and Sublimity communities have a rich civic history of local residents joining together time and time again to raise the funds or resources required to fulfill a community need. Our rodeo is the newest entity to be established for the purpose of building on that long standing tradition of strengthening the community through volunteerism. The efforts of the volunteers that make our event possible will become the rewards of the entire community. In addition to any money that is distributed by the rodeo association to other local nonprofit organizations, we also provide donations to other non-profit fundraiser’s in the area.
As the Santiam Canyon Stampede continues to prosper, so will the sport of rodeo, our community and its residents.
